COVID-19 Protocols
PROCEDURES FOR SUNDAY SERVICES
Covid Protocol
The safety of all our members, guests and staff is of utmost importance and for that reason, we will be diligent in following all safety guidelines.
Jasper United Church endeavors to follow all the Government guidelines and Alberta Health Services (AHS) regulations that are currently in place as outlined for places of worship. Within these guidelines, we recognize that due to the nature of the Covid-19 virus, our policies and protocols need to shift and adapt to the current circumstances. Changes to protocols will be discussed and developed through Board processes and approval.
We are guided by our values of hospitality and caring to create an inclusive and accepting community with a commitment to caring for all who are part of the worshipping community. As a Christian community, we are called to care for the least among us and therefore it is our desire to care, support and safeguard all who may be especially physically, spiritually and emotionally vulnerable.
Current policy and practice:
Masks are not required but are available should you prefer to wear one.
If feeling unwell, for the health of all, we ask you to please stay home
and join us when you are feeling well. A copy of the worship service can be found on line and Rev. Linda will be happy to share the weekly reflection with you, should you request.
The Collection Plate is not passed among the gathered during worship service. It is available in the Narthex as you enter, should you wish to make a donation to the work and ministry of Jasper United Church. In honour of gifts received, the offering plate is brought forward and placed on the communion table during the service and a prayer of thanksgiving and blessing offered.
